Bevy, the only enterprise virtual, hybrid, and in-person event community platform, has secured $40M in Series C. What's next? Build community and break barriers. 💪
70% of individuals participating in the funding round are Black investors, including former Beats by Dre CMO Omar Johnson; current Facebook Board Member and EVP at PayPal Peggy Alford; Backstage Capital founder Arlan Hamilton; 4-time Olympic Gold medalist Michael Johnson; and many more renowned Black leaders. Bevy is committed to radically reducing the racial inequality that exists in the tech industry, and has committed to having Black employees represent 20% of its workforce by September 2021, up from 14% today.
"What we're building with Bevy is extremely unique. It has the potential to be a several billion dollar company that changes the way that companies and brands engage communities, but I think what's incredibly exciting is not what we're building with Bevy, but how we're building this company." - Kobie Fuller, Investor, CEO of Upfront Ventures.
"I think it's going to be the model on where America and the world should go. In order to create businesses and technologies, we need to identify barriers and support Black and brown entrepreneurs." - James Lowry, Investor, Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group.
"What it takes is action and what it takes is someone who's really committed to building a world that that we all want to live in, so I'm incredibly inspired and excited to participate." - Angela Benton, Investor, Founder of Streamlytics
